Privacy Concerns of Self Driving Cars

While governments have begun to make legislation surrounding self driving cars, this legislation tends to be very vague when it comes to privacy. Privacy is a concern in any connected technology that utilizes user data in order to operate, however, self driving cars will have an unprecedented look into our personal lives. For this reason, we need to take a preemptive stance on AV privacy and security. Furthermore, we must also ask ourselves the question about who will be able to see this data. Will law enforcement be able to use this data? Will you or the company who made the car own the data?
